CALL FOR VOLUNTEER PRESENTERS – COFGMS MONTHLY COMPLIANCE WEBINARS

The Compliance Officers Forum of GIABA Member States (COFGMS) is an association of compliance professionals from the various Reporting Entities from Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) member States, registered as a Non-Profit Organization limited by guarantee in Lagos – Nigeria and Accra, Ghana with an operational office in Lagos, with the Vision “to be a group driven by a shared commitment to international best practice in compliance.”

The Forum is an initiative of GIABA and is part of its continued efforts to strengthen collaboration among Reporting Institutions in the effective implementation of anti-money laundering, combating the financing of terrorism, and financing of proliferation (AML/CFT/CFP) preventive measures within its region.

In light of the above, we invite volunteer presenters to contribute to our Monthly Webinar Series, a platform dedicated to advancing Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) practices across the region. Details are as follows:

Who Can Present?

We welcome experienced professionals with deep knowledge in: 

  • Compliance risk management
  • AML/CFT frameworks
  • Regulatory reporting obligations
  • Emerging threats (e.g., crypto, fintech risks)
  • Sanctions, PEPs, KYC/EDD best practices
  • Regional regulatory developments and more

Format of Presentation:

  • Pro bono contribution (voluntary)
  • 30–45 minutes presentation + Q&A
  • Virtual session (via Zoom or Teams)
  • Audience: Compliance officers, regulators, and stakeholders across West Africa
