The COFGMS will hold its sixth Annual General Meeting in Monrovia, the Republic of Liberia, on July 25th at the end of West African Summit 2024 on New Emerging Risks and Changes to FATF Standards/Methodology, organized by Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA).
The main objective of the meeting will be to:
- Reflect on the progress in the Forum’s activities
- Analyse and approve relevant instruments to support the execution of activities, such as the Plan of Activity for 2024-2025 and the Budget
- Present the forum website to the association members
- Hold the second election of the members of the Forum’s four subcommittees, namely;
- The Subcommittee on Research and Emerging Issues
- The Information Technologies Subcommittee
- The Training and Development Subcommittee
- The Dispute Resolution Subcommittee.
- Presentation of the results on the feasibility study for an African Association of Compliance Professionals, an initiative of Making Finance Work 4 Africa – MFW4A, of the African Development Bank.
